MJ Auto Mobile Mechanic is a one-van, one-mechanic operation out of Scarborough. No tow, no shop, no waiting room with a coffee machine that hasn't been cleaned since 2019. We bring the tools, the lift, the diagnostics and the parts to wherever your car is parked — home, work, or the side of the road.
Evenings and weekends, because that's when your car actually breaks.

What we fix
Everything below is done on-site. If a job genuinely needs a hoist or a dealership computer, we'll say so on the phone instead of taking your money first.

Batteries & no-starts
Tested under load, not just with a multimeter. If it's the battery we swap it and you're moving in twenty minutes. If it's the alternator or a parasitic draw killing it overnight, we chase that down instead of selling you a battery every six months.

Check-engine & diagnostics
Full OBD-II scan with live data, not just a code readout. P0420 doesn't automatically mean a new catalytic converter — half the time it's an O2 sensor or a small exhaust leak. We read freeze-frame data and test before quoting.

Oil & filter changes
Conventional, synthetic blend or full synthetic, plus filter and a 20-point walkaround. We check your tire pressures, top up washer fluid, and tell you honestly what's coming due in the next 10,000 km.

Tires, rotation & seasonal swaps
Spring and fall changeovers at your house, on your schedule — no 90-minute lineup at the tire shop on the first cold Saturday in November. Rotation, balancing check, torque to spec, and we label which corner each tire came off.

Starters, alternators & belts
Clicking on turn, dimming lights, a squeal that shows up on cold mornings. We carry common starters and alternators for Civic, Corolla, Elantra, CR-V, RAV4 and Escape, and can usually source anything else same-day from a Scarborough supplier.

Suspension & steering
Clunks over the speed bumps on McCowan, wandering steering, uneven tire wear. Struts, control arms, sway bar links, tie rod ends, wheel bearings. We road-test before and after so you can feel the difference rather than take our word for it.

Pre-purchase inspections
Buying used on Kijiji or at a lot on Markham Road? We meet you at the seller's address, put it on stands, and give you a straight verdict — including the stuff that'll cost you $2,000 in eight months. Worth it before you hand over a deposit.

You call or text
Tell us the year, make, model, and what it's doing. A noise, a light, a smell, a puddle — describe it however you'd describe it to a friend. We'll tell you on the spot whether it's something we can handle in a driveway.

We quote before we come
You get a labour estimate and a rough parts range over the phone. If the number changes once we're under the car, we stop and call you before spending another dollar of your money.

We come to the car
Van, jack, stands, tools, scanner, and the parts we expect to need. You don't need to be home — plenty of customers leave the keys with a neighbour or meet us on a lunch break in a plaza parking lot.

You pay when it's done
Cash, e-transfer, or card on the spot. Old parts stay with you unless you tell us to take them. If something isn't right in the first two weeks, call and we'll come back and look at it.

Hours
We work when the shops are closed. That's deliberate — it's the only way a driveway repair fits around a normal job.
